Ikhlas

Credit to tumblr.com

Assalamualaikum.

Am fully packed with piles of work, project, assignment and exams for these few weeks. Suddenly I felt tired and emotions started to conquer my mind. I tend show my anger in front of others. Astaghfirullahalazim... Whatever it is, I must let my soul in peace.

Four (4) things that need to be done now:

Free my mind

Free my heart

Free my spirit

Free my body

from everything that might affect me and my life

Alhamdulillah. I realized the shortcomings lately and started to recite Al-Quran everyday. When I looked back, maybe there are a few occasions where I tend to ignore the obligations of being a Muslimah, a wife, a mother and a daughter. May Allah S.W.T. forgive my ignorance and guide me through my life.

"IKHLAS" is the keyword. I've forgotten this. When your mind is fully occupied with work, the "keikhlasan" started to fade away. It's more to fulfilling the job requirements. I should have notice this. Earlier this morning, I reprogrammed my mind. Hihihi... I came out with the updated weekly plan for all my teaching subjects and make full preparation. Well, I must say I'm very happy today. I've also finished studying my Linear Programming. Alhamdulillah.

It's true. Praying and reciting Al-Quran really give peace to my soul. My mind started to search for more lately.

Did I mention Muhammad is going to enter primary school next year? His name is already listed in the chosen primary school list. Oh dear, my lil' boy is growing up so fast. Huhuhu... Lil' Iman is coming to three (3) next January. Last few weeks, my Dad popped an unexpected question; "When are you going to have another one? Two is not enough, at least you have three or four." I was stunned and replied, "Dad, soon I hope. This might be my last try as I had complication for both deliveries and ended up with both Caesarians. Pray for me Dad." He just smiled and looked at my face dearly. ;-D

See you in my next entry! Wassalaam.

Oxford and Bicester Village ~ Day 6

At Oxford
Assalamualaikum.
On Day 6, we went for a city tour at Oxford in the morning and another trip to Bicester Village for shopping of course in the afternoon. No more tour guide this time as we were on our own. So it's more to sightseeing and shopping, I guess.
Oxford is a very wonderful city. It's sooo classic. Should make a visit here if you happen to go to London. There are a few colleges and universities around here. We even met a Malaysian student who passed by that morning. I spoke to her but forgotten to snap a picture with her. She's a student with the Medical school. Really inspired with her style; a pair of high boots, a skirt with legging, Oxford sweater, a pashmina and LV monogram. Mmm...
We went ronda2 in the city and stopped by for souvenirs.

After Oxford, we went to Bicester Village which just nearby. So what can you see here? A LOT... Hihihi... They offered lower price for branded items such as handbags, shoes, etc. Of course more discount for off-season items. I guess we need at least 5 - 6 hours here for both window shopping and shopping! One tip; if you spot on something you favour, just grab it. Or it will be taken by someone else. My sisters gone mad here. Hihihi... What did I buy? Clarks shoes for my lil' ones as they cost me only RM100 each pair. So one pair for Muhammad and one pair for Iman Najiha. Me? It's a secret... Shhh...

Interesting huh?

Tomorrow or Day 7, we flew to Edinburgh, Scotland. We spent a few nights there before we flew back to London and headed to Paris. Do I have any intention to return to London? YES... I do and I will return to London. We plan to return next year. I love to stay in London. Not just because of Primark, H&M, etc. but I just love it here.
It's quite easy to find HALAL food here as there are a number of HALAL restaurants in London. We even found several HALAL restaurants belongs to Malaysians in the city apart from the HALAL restaurant belongs to other Muslims such as Indian Muslim and Arabian. Or, you can visit the Malaysian Hall for more selections on Malaysian cuisines.
My next entry will be Scotland ~ Edinburgh and Glasgow. Stay tuned!

Bath and Stonehenge ~ Day 5

At Stonehenge, UK
Assalamualaikum.
On Day 5, our trip was to Bath and Stonehenge. Bath is in West England and just nearby to Bristol.
Our first visit was to the Roman Baths Museum. Admission ticket; Adult: sekitar 12 pound, Child (6-16): sekitar 8 pound, Family (2 adults + 4 children): sekitar 34 pound, Senior citizen or student: sekitar 10 pound.
What can you see here? Bath's history of bathe in natural thermal water which was discovered by the Celts and Romans more than 2000 years ago. They preserved many objects from the Temple of Bath where the goddess Sulis Minerva is housed. The temple is one of the only two classical temples from Roman Britain. This museum is divided into a few sections; the Terrace, Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Great Bath, etc.

After visiting the museum, we went ronda2 in Bath city and had our lunch at a halal Singapore+Indonesian restaurant. Our next trip was Stonehenge.
Stonehenge is very cold and windy. It's an amazing place to visit as it's green everywhere but suddenly there's a circle of huge stones at one corner. Tickets are cheap; Adult: sekitar 8 pound, Child (5-15): sekitar 5 pound, Child (under 5): Free, Family (2 adults+3 children): sekitar 20 pound.
Stonehenge is considered as the most important prehistoric monument in Britain. It was completed nearly 3500 years ago.

With Mr. AJ at Stonehenge. I was sooo colddd but he loved the coldness so much that he insisted not to wear any sweater or jacket. Just wonder how he can stand it.

Brighton ~ Day 4

At World Famous Brighton Pier
Lil' Iman at Brighton Pier
My family at Brighton Pier
Assalamualaikum.
On the fourth day, we headed to Brighton, UK. It was a whole day tour in Brighton. Our first visit was Brighton Royal Pavilion and Museum. A very long queue but as our tickets were arranged and purchased earlier, we managed to enter it faster than the rest.
What can you see here? Basically, it has 6 main rooms; the music room, the banqueting room, the royal bedrooms, the great kitchen, the royal reception rooms and a gallery for Indian Military hospital. The king who built this place loved to entertain his guests with music and lots of food. Honestly, it looks and feels classic as this Royal Pavilion was constructed in 18th century. This palace is full with a complete work of art, furnished with French, English and Chinese furnitures. However, no camera is allowed here. Plus, it has CCTV installed inside the palace.
Similar with the rest, tickets are based on how we purchase them; Adult: sekitar 10 pound, Child (5-15): sekitar 6 pound, Family (2 adults with 2 children): sekitar 25 pound, special rate for Student, Senior citizen, and Group.

After the visit, we went ronda2 in Brighton city. It's a very wonderful place to stay. I love it so much! I love the city, the environment, the sea, etc. Though it's cold and windy, the sun still shine brightly. We had our lunch here; a 100% seafood restaurant. We had fish and chips, mineral water and cheese cake for appetizer.
A classic store ~ I just wonder how and why they still sell this classic sewing machine
With my loved ones at Brighton Pier
Tips: Bring extra food such as bread, biscuit, and drinks in a small carry bag for the kids as the visit might be tiring for them. My kids love croissant bread and chocolate milk. The cold weather, the thick jacket and the strong wind can cause them to get hungry. Even I felt hungry every one hour. Huhuhu...
Alright then, Day 5 was to Bath and Stonehenge. Stay tuned!

City of London ~ Day 3 (Part 3)

Assalamualaikum.

This is Part 3 of Day 3 trip in London. After Madam Tussauds, we went to Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Stardome, Thames River, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Big Bans, Westminster Abby, etc. Some of these; we can only have the outside view for certain reason.

As the internet is very very slow, I can only upload a few pictures. It was a long day tour but honestly, our family really enjoyed each moment of our trip. (Cheers!!!)

To Buckingham Palace. Free entry. Kat sinilah Prince William and his wife first appeared to the public after their official wedding ceremony.

Ticket price; Adult: sekitar 18 pound, Child (4-15): sekitar 9 pound, Child (under 4): FREE, Senior citizen: sekitar 15 pound, Family (of four): sekitar 50 pound. Me, my hubby and my lil' ones inside the London Eye capsule

My Birthday Wishlist

Assalamualaikum.

I seldom rave on anything unless it's an important item for Hari Raya Aidilftri. Sounds technical, aye? But lately, I tend to favor on a few things. Despite my children needs, I won't buy anything else unless they're very important.

My birthday wishlist:

1. The latest iPad.

2. Coach handbag.

3. Coach handbag.

4. Coach handbag again. In fact, I got one from this collection already. Just that I love all of them so much.

5. BMW in white - 2 doors. This is just a dream, I guess. Hihihi...

6. Perform my Umrah.

7. Perform my Hajj.

8. Live in London. Hihihi... I just love London city.

9. I want to go to Spain. Why? I just want to explore.

10. A new wedding ring. I lost mine last few months. It dropped somewhere before I pray. Mmm... just wonder when can I get a new one.

Lots of handbags ya. Hihihi... Just my wishlist.

P.S. Congratulation to my cousin, Dian. She's 2 months pregnant with the second child. Congrates again dear! May everything goes well during your second pregnancy. Take care.

Happiness

Assalamualaikum.

Happiness is something that makes you feel wonderful.
Happiness is something that everyone raves about every day.
Happiness means everything for us in life.

Some people do not endure the meaning of happiness.
Life is just that simple for them.

Ever felt, "Oh, ok. That's it. I'm done here."
Ever think, "No. It's enough. I must move on."

That's what and how I feel now.
It's not about giving up.
It's about my own life.

Don't jump into conclusion, my dear friends.
I just want to move on.
I just want to make my day.
